If you ask any Saints fan - with P*rtsmouth currently floundering in the lower echelons of English football - competing with and/or trying to beat Liverpool is high up on the agenda these days.
After several years which saw the Merseyside Club buy some of Saints best players (and Dejan Lovren....), there's been a strong desire to keep showing that we can match them on the pitch.
Last night, after six Premier League defeats in a row against the Reds, Saints secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory.
Ironically, it was the one player Liverpool had recently sold to Saints - Danny Ings - who scored the match winner.
The final whistle saw Ralph Hasenhüttl emotionally drop to his knees, in relief/celebration at a job well done.
The result was made even sweeter by the fact Hasenhüttl also had several key squad members missing, including Alex McCarthy, Jannik Vestergaard, Oriol Romeu and Che Adams.
Despite some questionable 'looks' at the time, Glen de la Cour had actually predicted Saints to come out 1-0 victors, during the latest Total Saints Podcast Episode 143 (Listen Here).
So, enjoying his own wave of personal relief/celebration, Glen decided a collective GDLC player rating - for all those who proudly wore the red and white last evening - was the fairest thing to do:
Fraser Forster - 10
Kyle Walker-Peters - 10
Jan Bednarek - 10
Jack Stephens - 10
Ryan Bertrand - 10
James Ward-Prowse - 10
Ibrahima Diallo - 10 (GDLC Man of the Match)
Stuart Armstrong - 10
Moussa Djenepo - 10
Theo Walcott - 10
Danny Ings - 10
Nathan Tella - 10
Dan N'Lundulu - 10
Yan Valery - 10
