Ahead of next Sunday's Premier League fixture with Burnley, Sportsbet.io, Saints' Main Club Partner, have provided some early Easter cheer by donating their shirt sponsorship and £10,000 to the Saints Foundation.
It means the Foundation's logo will now be displayed on the first-team shirts during the match, ahead of them being auctioned off to further support the Charity's incredible work within our local community.
Having missed out on over £300,000 of expected fundraising during such a difficult year, the Saints Foundation are also asking fans to show their own support for the charity matchday by making a £10 donation - using money that, in normal circumstances, may have been spent on a match ticket.
Details on how to donate can be found here: Saints Foundation - Make A Donation
In addition to that, Sportsbet.io have also agreed to match the first 1,000 donations made by fans, up to a maximum of £10,000.
Despite the financial challenges caused by the global pandemic, Saints Foundation have continued to provide vital support to thousands of people in and around Southampton.
David Thomas, Chief Commercial Officer at St. Mary's said, "We are incredibly grateful to Sportsbet.io for this unique opportunity that they are providing to Saints Foundation. Their generosity will help raise both awareness and vital funds so that our charity can continue to support the local community through these difficult times.
“No doubt the thousands of participants who Saints Foundation support annually will be immensely proud to see the team take to the pitch displaying the charity’s logo on Sunday 4th April.”
Joe McCallum, Head of Sportsbet.io, added, “Supporting local communities in these difficult times is important and it is our absolute pleasure as partners of the Saints to help raise awareness for the club’s charity. The work Saints Foundation has been carrying out over the past year is invaluable and we’re here to support them every step of the way.”
The Saints Foundation take Southampton Football Club to the heart of the local community, using the power of the club, and their passionate team, to help fulfil individual potential and make Southampton a better place to live.
